About

Leading from your IDEALS is a choice away.

IDEALS Leadership is not only about how you lead. It is most importantly about how you are led. In our initial consultation, I will walk you through a 5 point scale to help you determine how consistently you are living from your IDEALS. Then we will work together to create a plan to close any gaps that are revealed. The IDEALS Leader is led by:

  • Integrity – the quality of being honest, having strong moral principles, and adhering to a code of ethics. It involves consistency between one’s words, actions, and values, and maintaining a sense of uprightness and transparency in all aspects of life.
  • Dedication – the act of being committed, devoted, and wholeheartedly focused on a particular task, goal, or cause. It involves giving consistent time, effort, and energy to achieve desired outcomes, often demonstrating perseverance and a strong work ethic.
  • Equity – refers to fairness and impartiality in the distribution of resources, opportunities, and treatment among individuals or groups. It seeks to ensure that everyone has equal access to the benefits and advantages available, taking into account different needs, backgrounds, and circumstances to promote justice and inclusion.
  • Appreciation – the recognition and acknowledgment of the value, significance, or qualities of someone or something. It involves expressing gratitude, admiration, or a positive evaluation for the actions, characteristics, or contributions of others, thereby fostering a sense of respect, encouragement, and positivity.
  • Love – involves nurturing and supporting others, showing kindness, empathy, and understanding, and often plays a central role in personal relationships, promoting a sense of unity and well-being.
  • Service – the act of providing assistance, support, or aid to others with the intention of fulfilling their needs and improving their circumstances. It involves actively engaging in activities that benefit individuals, organizations, or the community at large.

I sympathize with how the challenges of trying to live into your IDEALS, while being pulled by seemingly infinite distractions, can feel daunting. And I know that, until we make the choice to live congruently with our professed IDEALS, nothing on earth will make us feel as if we BELONG.

The strengths that I have cultivated that I can employ to serve you in living from your IDEALS include but are not limited to a deep understanding of:

  • Human Motivation (Narrative Enneagram Certified Typer)
  • Relational Dynamics
  • Narrative Structure
  • Creative Capacity Building
  • Coaching and Training

About Pedro Senhorinha Silva

Pedro Senhorinha (Sen-your-reen-ya) Silva has had a very storied career that expands from the United States Air Force where he served as a Satellite Communications Technician before cross-training to become a Chinese Linguist all the way to professional ministry serving with the progressive Christian denomination, the United Church of Christ. He has also served in a myriad of other capacities from corporate recruiter to Americorp Vista. And at the heart of every choice he has made, whether vocationally or educationally, is a deep desire to unite people. It was this same desire that led him to spend the last 8 years supporting the bridging movement, a national effort to bring humans together across a variety of differences. This work began with Pedro volunteering as a faith partner with Living Room Conversations and ultimately joining the team at YOUnify in February 2022.

In addition to these roles, Pedro is on the Board of Motus Theater, an advisor for CU’s Center for the Humanities and Arts, hosts two podcasts, one on comedy and the other on embodied spirituality, with co-hosts Katerina Jeng and Mercedez Davis, and writes consistently on a variety of human centered subjects, using poetry and prose. His newsletter, People Are Not Things, is available on Linkedin. Additionally, Pedro launched the Liberation Comedy Project and can be found doing stand up locally. Earlier this year, Pedro was presented with the YWCA of Boulder County’s Community Impact award, a distinction he shares with Katrina Dawn Miller, one of the directors of the award winning documentary, This Is [Not] Who We Are. Finally, Pedro has recently relaunched HigherUp Consulting, an umbrella venture that enables Pedro to bring his skills in public speaking, writing, coaching, and creating custom trainings under one moniker.
